Prescription Drug Addiction

Over a million people alone in the United Kingdom have a problem with addiction to drugs. The Medical profession have for generations over prescribed certain highly addictive drugs - and patients many patients have become hooked on the medication. Many people purchase top up supplies through the Internet or buy them of friends and family members.



There is no shame seeking help - You can receive a great deal of support through agencies such as Addictions UK. Your Doctor may also be able to help you if you obtain an appointment and explain why you need help. If you cannot for various reasons ask your own Doctor then please contact us. We can work with you by providing addiction treatment at home. You do not need to be referred to us by your doctor to get help through our agency.

We can discuss the possibility of a home detox if you need one or if you would prefer residential treatment we work with a number of colleagues whom we could refer you. We offer 24/7 support and we can help you with your physical and psychological treatment. Jim Dobbin (Heywood and Middleton) that many people are suffering from the effects of addiction to prescription drugs. He said that the government were "in denial" about this problem.

More people are prescribed the potentially addictive tranquilisers benzodiazepines in the North West than anywhere else in England.

Jim Dobbin MP - the Chairman of the All Party Group on Involuntary Tranquilliser Addiction, said: "The government, as far as I'm concerned, is in denial about the state of the problem."
